Austar Seafood Marketing catches Advanta’s Contract Warehousing Solution

Advanta Software, specialist software solutions provider to the 3PL and Logistics markets, announced that Austar Seafood Marketing has selected Advanta’s Contract Warehousing solution to improve efficiency and cater for on going growth.

Austar are a leading producer, wholesale distributor and exporter of Australian seafood products. They manage the complete supply chain including procurement, processing, distribution and they operate Australia’s largest seafood retail chain. They also provide refrigerated storage and associated distribution services to third party Seafood manufacturers and distributors.

Advanta is initially providing Austar with modules from its ATLAS™ Supply Chain Execution and Supply Chain Management suites. These include; 3PL Client Billing, Freight Management, Paperless Warehousing, Scan Packing, EDI, Distribution, Purchasing, and Financials. Matthew Temple, General Manager for Austar, explained that these modules “will replace a combination of spreadsheets and manually prepared document processes”.

“Advanta was selected for their proven experience and expertise with software applications specifically designed for wholesale distribution and 3PL businesses” described Temple. Advanta was able to offer “the entire integrated logistics and third-party logistics package that most others were not able to provide”.

With these solutions in place Austar expect to improve efficiency and reliability. Moreover the platform will establish a foundation which will allow Austar to broaden their service offerings to clients and at the same time cater for future growth.
