PRESS RELEASE - 16 October 2003Andrew Green Distribution implements Advanta Freight Management SolutionAdvanta Software announced today that Andrew Green Distribution has selected the Advanta Freight Management Solution to introduce parcel tracking and paperless warehousing for their clients. Over the past 20 years Andrew Green Distribution has satisfied clients through specialised temperature controlled distribution services throughout Victoria. As a small boutique player they operate in the “Cold Chain Logistics” market with the prime focus being food products and pharmaceuticals. The core strategy is to focus on the lower volume transactions requiring extra care, and then excelling by delivering superior services. With an eye to the future Andrew Green, Managing Director, decided to seek supporting technology to update and enhance their current in-house fulfilment information systems. “Our current system has been in place for over 10 years and could not support our 15-20% growth-rate” Andrew said. "Moreover, if it crashed we would be in big trouble." Advanta’s Freight Management Solution was selected both to overcome their current problems and to set a solid foundation for future growth. Advanta’s Freight Management solution is part of the Advanta’s Integrated Logistics Suite (BILS). BILS provides a comprehensive suite of integrated modules covering a wide range of Freight and Warehouse Management applications. Andrew Green Distribution is implementing the Freight Management Solution, which incorporates a number of modules including; eZFreight for consignment management and eZTrack for consignment tracking and Proof of Delivery management. The Advanta Freight Management solution uses GPRS (always-on Internet access) to provide comprehensive electronic tracking of all goods from collection at the supplier to delivery confirmation by electronic signature capture. Clients can access the status of their goods via the Internet at any time within the full delivery cycle. Andrew believes that the Advanta Freight Management solution will enable them to “harness the latest technology to deliver superior customer service.
