Announcing Advanta Software

We are very pleased to announce the change of name of our company from Berger Software to Advanta Software. Our change to Advanta is the final step in the change in strategic direction we undertook last year commencing with the sale of our CRM Division.

Since that time, our single focus has been on providing Supply Chain Execution (encompassing Warehouse Management and Transport Management), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and eBusiness solutions to Third Party Logistics and general Logistics companies.

Why Change?

We are making this change to provide a single consistent brand image for the company. Having operated in the IT industry for over 3 decades, we have worked with a variety of products covering a range of market segments. This has resulted in our company being viewed by the marketplace in different ways.

So we are making the change to allow us to build a single consistent brand image for the company. Advanta is a niche market IT solutions provider addressing the needs of the 3PL and general Logistics market segments.

What has not changed?

Although our name and focus have changed, our core values will remain the same.

  • Advanta will retain the same business model. We will continue to provide IT solutions in our selected Logistics and Third-Party Logistics niche market segments. We will continue to deliver effective IT solutions by leveraging our industry expertise in combination with our own flexible software.
  • Advanta will continue with the same dedicated and experienced professional services team. Our team has extensive expertise in Logistics with an average of over 11 years service with our company.
  • Advanta will continue to develop advanced and flexible software packages. We will continue to market our successful BILS package – Berger Integrated Logistics Suite package and our eZlogistics eBusiness suite.
  • Advanta will continue to provide a broad range of professional services to the client base we have served in the past. We are proud to have retained the loyalty of some of our clients since the early 1980s.
  • And Advanta will continue our mission to deliver real value to our client organizations - as encapsulated in our tagline “Making IT Work for You”

So what is new?

Our new focus means that our marketing, sales, R&D and professional services teams are all fully aligned to the needs of the Logistics market segment. This will generate leverage that will be visible to our clients over the coming years.

We started this process 12 months ago, and we are starting to see some early results.

Our R&D team has released 4 new products over the last 12 months, and has another four in various stages of development, and our sales team has won 5 new clients over the past 8 months.

Why Advanta?

Advanta, quite simply, stands for Advantage. It ties in with our mission to provide our clients with real returns from their IT investments. We aim to provide strategic advantage to our clients by Making IT Work for them.

And the Advanta continues

Over the past three decades we have proudly served the Australian Information industry. We have developed and implemented many hundreds of client systems, employed a large number of IT professionals and have influenced a wide range of business partners.

It has been a challenging and exciting thirty years. We look forward to the coming years with the same enthusiasm and energy that has driven us in the past.
