PRESS RELEASE - 18 March 2006Logical Freight Solutions selects ATLAS to end the Paper ChaseAdvanta Software, specialist software solutions provider to the 3PL and Logistics markets, announced that Logical Freight Solutions (LFS) has selected Advanta’s ATLAS logistics suite to help meet their growth requirements. LFS are leading logistics service providers to the Biotech industry both in Australia and abroad. On a domestic level LFS provides its customers with a one stop shop including importing and exporting via air and sea, as well as 3rd Party Warehousing and domestic distribution. LFS are also one of the few companies with the will and expertise to transport radioactive substances amongst other dangerous goods. Advanta is providing LFS with modules from their ATLAS Supply Chain Execution and eLogistics suites. These include; Freight, Client Billing, Driver Payment, Web Enquiries and Track and Trace. But beyond these initial applications the ATLAS suite provides the firepower for LFS to introduce a wider variety of value added services in the future. The introduction of the ATLAS suite will replace an international system previously managing LFS’s domestic operation. LFS Managing Director Steve Cheetham explained “not only has this system outgrown its use, it is also extremely manual and not cost effective”. Cheetham cited “the ability to offer customers an automated user friendly system and improving internal processes” as some of the reasons behind selecting Advanta’s ATLAS solution. “LFS has had growth in excess of 30% pa for the past 3 years, so now needs to end the paper chase” he noted. With the ATLAS solution in place, LFS expects to improve processing efficiencies and accuracy and also establish a firm platform that will cater for on-going growth.
