PRESS RELEASE - Gekko selects ADVANTA FuelADVANTA Fuel™ to drive efficiencies and unrestricted growth for fuel wholesaler Gekko PetroleumSYDNEY – 4th of June, 2008- Translogix International, specialist software solutions provider to the 3PL, logistics and fuel distribution markets announced that Gekko Petroleum has selected ADVANTA Fuel™, Translogix’s fuel distributors’ software suite, to be the new software platform supporting the future growth of the company. Gekko Petroleum is a multifaceted supplier of products and services to the petroleum industry. Gekko’s services include both risk management and consultation services to users of energy and fuel products and through its parent company Masefield, Gekko Petroleum also offers international energy trading services. Gekko Petroleum has recently enjoyed significant growth as a supplier and wholesaler of oil products, petrochemicals and bio-fuel products to the Australian and South Pacific markets, providing high quality fuel products via a number of Terminal Gates across the region at competitive wholesale prices. “Our rapid growth highlighted the need to replace our existing systems”, commented Brett Crawford, managing director Gekko Petroleum. “The lack of a specific system was limiting our ongoing expansion.” In looking for a replacement system Gekko identified potential suppliers through extensive research and selected Translogix International after confirmation by other industry contacts.
