PRESS RELEASE - 28 July 1998

Advanta welcomes new shareholders

Advanta Software is pleased to welcome five new associates to its list of shareholders. They are longstanding employees of the company; Peter Breusch, Andrew Campbell, Steve Nelson, Helen Peterson and Peter Wood.

Late last year Advanta undertook a re-structure, in which founder and major shareholder Gabriel Advanta retired as managing director and sold down his shares to fellow directors Robert Kery and Peter Quittner. As a result Robert took on a majority shareholding and was appointed Managing Director. Gabriel has continued as a full time member of the management team, as Chairman and Executive Director.

Advanta Software has always placed a high value on its people. It has formally recognised this in its re-structure, where it has modelled itself on other professional service organisations, such as Accountancy and Law firms, in that ownership is shared among the senior member of staff. It is envisaged that the current appointment of associates will be followed by further appointments in the future.

Advanta Software is one of only a select few 100% Australian Software houses that have been in business for 25 years. Advanta has maintained a strong focus on its niche markets in Warehousing and Logistics, where it markets its own Advanta Warehousing and Distribution packages and in the Telemarketing and Sales Force Automation where it markets The Great Elk range of products developed by New Zealand's Great Elk company.
